Welcome to Riverside Resort & Conference Centre

Riverside Resort & Conference Centre is a traditional conference property set on 35 acres beside the St. John River in French Village, near Fredericton. Offering a mix of standard rooms and cottages, the resort features casual dining options and leisure facilities, including a pool, hot tub, and walking trails that take advantage of the surrounding natural setting. The property operates as a resort hotel, conference center, extended stay hotel, and wedding venue, catering to a variety of guests.

The accommodations, while functional and clean, reflect the property's age and have received mixed reviews regarding comfort and updates. Guests have noted that rooms and cottages are cozy but somewhat dated, with some comments about hard beds, thin walls, and smaller bathrooms. However, many praise the friendly and accommodating staff, as well as amenities like fireplaces, hot tubs, and kitchens in cottages. The resort is also LGBTQ+ friendly, making it welcoming to diverse travelers.

The resort's affordability appeals to travelers prioritizing value and a riverside setting over modern luxury. Rooms were cozy with no complaints. Obviously not state of the art but great for what you'd expect in the area. The whole building, bar, restaurant, and surrounding area experience was great. Had a campfire near the lodges down by the river. All the staff was so friendly. Would recommend.

This was a great place, especially for the price. The beds were extremely hard, which I don't mind, but others might not like it. It's an old resort but not run down. The people were great and the scenery was gorgeous. Breakfast is not included in the price but worth getting, it was very enjoyable.

Great location for our hiking adventures. Our Jacuzzi room is really comfy, cozy clean and it has a little electric fireplace. Just what we wanted for our recharge wkds. Needs a little updating. Perhaps cheerier front desk staff. Restaurant was also very good. We ate the 3 times.

We stayed in a cabin with my parents. Generally quiet but the walls are thin between adjoining rooms and if you have neighbors, you can hear their conversations. The cabins are a bit worse for wear but the price is right. You can walk down to the river and take a swim, nobody else goes down there and there are no boats. The hotel staff are friendly. Hot tub in the hotel was very hot, perfect! Pool area was clean. The fitness gym is small but nobody uses it so it worked out. Enjoyed our relaxing stay.

Beautiful property and lovely hotel! A perfect getaway from the city, the hotel is right on the water with walking trails around the acreage. Rooms are nice and you can also rent private cottages with more space + kitchen amenities! The restaurant and bar has everything you need and staff are friendly. Overall great vibes :)

Although the building is a bit older it was clean and the beds were comfortable. The staff and service were wonderful both in the hotel and restaurant. It would be ideal if the playground was updated and expanded a bit. It wasn't too exciting for my 6-year-old. The pool area was nice, however the pool was very cold. A few degrees warmer would have been a bit more enjoyable. Overall we had a great time on our overnight getaway and my daughter loved it. Room service was a real treat for her!

Been staying here long-term since April. So far the management has been nice and communicative. The staff are understanding and are willing to work with you in making sure you're stay is good and enjoyable. It is right on the waterfront so that is also super nice. Lots of places around resort you can walk to and enjoy. Waterfalls and rivers run on the property as well. The rooms are a decent size, though not many plug outlets I do manage with extention cords. Long term resident's get large brand new fridges and clean. The bathrooms are a little on the small side but is manageable as I am short and small. It is a non smoking hotel which I prefer as I do have a child. There is a 2 peice playground for children at the back of the resort for kids and families. Swings, slides, latter's and stairs and monkey bars. Management is easy to get a hold of. Would recommend. The pool area though is off limits still though and still waiting on that to re open.

My family and I came here for an overnight stay as part of a bus tour of The Maritimes in the late summer of 2017. Despite the age and wear-and-tear of this resort, we really enjoyed our stay. Rooms were spacious, breakfast was better than average, and surroundings were astounding. Best part was the use of the indoor pool and whirlpool. Sitting in the whirlpool and overlooking outside the windows with my son was the fondest memory I have from the entire trip. We also had the chance to walk outside and explore the property especially the walking along the narrow docks and gazing the sunset.
